Dreams are these weird second personalities that we have where no one can see. Dreams are where our personalities are on show unashamedly and without our control.
Our mind is a powerful thing, it picks up on what we don’t, it translate what we see, hear and smell into an image that can transform into anything. The dreamland is our own personal wonderland. Smoking caterpillars, talking flowers, hidden metaphors and messages just waiting to be translated.
Depending on the dream, our moods can be affected. Your partner cheats on you in the dream and suddenly you are irrationally upset.
Dreams can be inspirational, you find the perfect dress for formal/prom and all of a sudden this literal dream dress is all you can think about and the search for this long red dress with the steep neckline begins.
Dreams are whatever you make them to be, and for me, they are beginnings of where my imagination can’t go. My dreamland is the powerful cousin to my imagination.
My imagination can think up a story, a character or an idea any day of the week.
But my dreams, they create the storyline, its characters. And I can watch them, be apart of the storyline as it progresses, be the characters and feel the emotions first hand.
It’s powerful tool for an aspiring author.
I believe this blog, whether or not no one sees it or a hundred see it, this blog will help my writing capabilities while also letting all the stories locked inside my head and out into the world.
